My name is Raquel, I’m 40 years old, and I live in Michigan. What I like to do in my spare time is to read, go fishing and I love to help other people.
I have had a major setback in my life which has led me to build my website.In December 2009 I fell ill, and the left side of my body went completely numb from my face all the way down to my foot. I could barely walk, and was hospitalized for nearly a week while numerous tests were performed. In the end I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I was devastated and I thought my life was going to end. Unable to return back to work has also been devastating as I am now having to make it on disability income.
Being on disability, my income is not much so I had to learn how to budget my finances. By budgeting I was able to pay off two credit cards and a small loan. Now I realize how important it is to budget and save because you never know what’s going to happen to you.
We never think about getting ill or losing our jobs but look at the economy. Jobs are being outsourced over seas, small business are downsizing, and the working peoples pay is being cut in half. It’s our responsibility as consumers to learn how to get more for our money.
